Let’s talk hydration. It’s not just a wellness buzzword—it’s your secret weapon for energy, clarity, and glowing skin. And if you need a visual reminder, my mother-in-law literally has “Hydrate or Die” tattooed on her arm. Now THAT is a awesome commitment!
Most of us walk around mildly dehydrated, wondering why we hit that 2 PM crash. Here’s the deal:
Your brain is about 75% water. When you're dehydrated, it’s like trying to run Zoom on dial-up.
Muscles? They need water to function well and avoid cramps—especially if you’re working out or running after your kids.
Skin? Hydration is the easiest (and cheapest) way to keep it looking fresh.
And no, coffee doesn’t count. As a devoted coffee drinker, I’ve had to learn the hard way that my second cup of coffee is not a stand-in for water.
Lately, I’ve been loving LMNT, Nuun, and good old sea salt + lemon in my water bottle. Electrolytes really help when I feel sluggish or forget to drink enough water during the day.
